Siete días sobre esquís, dos bases de montaña y una estufa encendida esperándote al final de la jornada.

En el este de Kirguistán, cerca del lago Issyk-Kul, las montañas Terskey Ala-Too se elevan sobre Karakol y Jergalan, también conocido como Jyrgalan. Estos valles son el corazón del viaje: laderas abiertas para la travesía, bosques silenciosos y espacio para explorar por tus propios medios.

Un viaje de once días es un buen punto de partida: permite siete jornadas de esquí de montaña, los traslados y los vuelos internacionales. Llegada a Biskek, encuentro con los guías y unas seis horas de carretera hasta Karakol antes de subir con pieles a las yurtas.

Cuatro días de travesía en la zona de Karakol y luego tres más hacia el este, en el valle de Jergalan. Bajada esquiando, regreso a Biskek para una tarde en la ciudad y una noche antes de volar de vuelta. Podemos acortar, alargar o rediseñar esta ruta para tu grupo.

Los lugares donde duermes son parte de lo que hace tan memorable esquiar en Kirguistán.

Cerca de Karakol te alojas en yurtas de invierno artesanales calentadas con estufa de leña. Tras cuatro jornadas de esquí, te trasladas a una casa de huéspedes del pueblo de Jergalan. El alojamiento es sencillo, cálido y está pegado al terreno que venimos a esquiar.

Una sauna kirguisa tradicional es una forma estupenda de cerrar el día. Las comidas compartidas y la hospitalidad de los anfitriones dan a las veladas un carácter propio. Planificamos las noches en yurta y en casa de huéspedes según tu ruta y confirmamos las instalaciones antes de salir.

Para un viaje de esta duración, calcula unas nueve noches entre yurtas, casas de huéspedes y un hotel en Biskek. El punto de partida son yurtas compartidas y habitaciones dobles; cuéntanos tus preferencias cuando preparemos tu itinerario privado.

Este viaje encaja sobre todo con esquiadores que disfrutan ganándose sus curvas y encadenando días en la montaña, lejos de las comodidades de una gran estación.

Un viaje personal por las montañas de Kirguistán

Cuándo ir

Nieve de pleno invierno, en tus fechas.

Enero y febrero son un buen punto de partida para un viaje invernal de esquí de montaña. La temporada amplia va por lo general de diciembre a marzo. Recomendamos las fechas según los valles elegidos y tus objetivos de travesía, sin salidas fijas.

Qué organizamos

Guiado, alojamiento de montaña y transporte local.

Tu propuesta puede incluir guiado con titulación IFMGA, transporte dentro de Kirguistán, alojamiento y comidas en las yurtas y casas de huéspedes. El viaje original contaba con dos guías IFMGA; confirmamos el equipo y el tamaño del grupo para tu viaje privado.

Los vuelos internacionales, el seguro, el alquiler de material, las habitaciones individuales y la cena final en Biskek se tratan aparte. Detallamos qué comidas, bebidas y servicios de alojamiento están incluidos, para que todo quede claro antes de reservar.

Biskek es el punto de llegada, y las rutas vía Estambul están entre las opciones a considerar. Los horarios de vuelo y los requisitos de entrada dependen de tu punto de partida y de tu nacionalidad; nosotros ayudamos con la logística del viaje y te pedimos que compruebes los requisitos para tu pasaporte antes de reservar.

You don’t need previous off-piste experience, but you should be a confident skier who is comfortable skiing all marked slopes in a ski resort. Your guide will adapt the terrain and pace to your ability, from your first experience in powder to more technical and challenging freeride lines.

No two freeride days are exactly the same. Your guide will consider the snow, weather, avalanche conditions, your skiing level and your goals before choosing the best terrain for the day. Depending on conditions, this might mean lift-accessed powder, short ski tours, longer backcountry routes or a combination of them.

Yes. Avalanche safety equipment — transceiver, shovel and probe — is required for all our freeride days. We also recommend ski touring equipment, as it gives us greater flexibility to access the best terrain and snow conditions. An avalanche airbag backpack is also highly recommended.

Yes. Our days can range from lift-accessed freeride with minimal walking to ski touring and longer backcountry adventures. Touring equipment gives us access to considerably more terrain and allows us to search for the best snow away from the main ski areas.

Absolutely. If you are already a confident piste skier, your first freeride experience can be a great introduction to skiing beyond the marked slopes. Your guide will select appropriate terrain and introduce you progressively to off-piste technique, terrain awareness and mountain safety.

Yes. We create personalised multi-day freeride and ski touring trips in Valais, across the Alps and internationally. Trips can be designed around a specific destination or built around the type of terrain and experience you are looking for.

Our home bases are Val d’Anniviers and Saas-Fee in Valais, Switzerland, where we offer private freeride guiding throughout the winter. We also organise multi-day trips across the Alps and personalised freeride and ski touring adventures in destinations around the world.

Conditions come first. Our guides use their local knowledge, weather and snow information, avalanche conditions and your skiing ability to decide where the best options are each day. Being flexible allows us to make the most of the mountains while keeping safety at the heart of every decision.
